The Department has structured the contract to ensure specific strategies are incorporated into each participant’s planning processes to align their goals with the overarching project goal to deliver a quality roadway.  Throughout the project, the Lead Contractor will provide Quality Control (QC) testing and inspection services for every operation.  Quality Assurance (QA) and Verification functions will be performed by the Concessionaire.  Independent Assurance and Independent Verification functions will be performed by our team and the Department to validate the Concessionaire’s QC and QA.

Our team has prepared a number of inspection and audit checklists using specifications from the State and Federal levels to monitor the quality of materials and workmanship during construction of the I-595 Express Corridor Improvements Project.  By collecting data throughout the life of the project and ensuring compliance with the specifications, any variations which may affect the quality of the end product will be detected and corrected.
